Custom Orthotics
Your body has a remarkable ability to move well when it is in proper alignment. No one understands this better than your chiropractor. That is why our focus is not just to relieve your pain, but to restore the natural movement and symmetry your body is meant to have. We work with your musculoskeletal system allowing it to strengthen and repair.
Because we observe and treat the body as a whole, we know that lower back pain, aching knees, and sore feet can often be caused by improper motion of the feet. Your feet are your base. Improper alignment and instability can affect your entire body.
But even with the best of therapy and exercise programs the integrity of your foot can still be compromised from years of misuse and injury. To maintain the progress of your recovery you need something to guide your feet through proper motion when you are performing the ordinary tasks that are part of your everyday life.
Custom fitted orthotic inserts for your shoes can provide a dynamic aid in preserving your improvements, preventing further injury, and relieving pain. They can significantly help in balance, alignment, motion, and strength of your feet, ankles, knees, hips, and spine.
Not just any inserts will do. After many years in the healthcare profession we have seen numerous patients that have been subject to biomechanically unsound fitting procedures and inferior products that often make their conditions worse. Most orthotics that we encounter are either too rigid and unforgiving, or so soft that they serve only as a foot cushion. They are made in a lab in some other location, take a few weeks to be delivered, and cost a pretty penny.
Our office has teamed with ALINE, a leader in sports performance inserts, to bring you an insole that can help you move, perform, and feel better. Our orthotic foot suspension technology maintains optimal alignment during leg motion that allows bones to lower, activating a more natural foot function in shoes. It flexes and rebounds to transfer and guide the foot into proper motion. There is gel in the heel area to absorb excess shock in each step you take, but only enough to relieve pain and not interfere with correct movement. The ribbed forward motion of the soles absorb, transmit, and reflect energy when you stand, walk, and even run. These orthotics don’t brace you, they let you move the way your body is meant to move!

Fitting Your Orthotics
The procedure is simple, takes just a few minutes, and is pain free. The doctor helps you step onto a device similar to the shoe-sizing devices at shoe stores. After positioning you in a weight bearing pose similar to mid-stride gait, we use a precision laser sight to assess the alignment of your feet, legs, and hips. We even supply a mirror so you can see your alignment yourself.
After determining the size and shape of your arch, preliminary insoles are placed under your feet and fitted to bring proper alignment to your body. The final orthotic is made from this mold as you wait, and we insert them in your shoes before you leave. Easy!
So come on in and find out what elite athletes, weekend warriors, and regular workaday people around the world have discovered. Orthotics can change your life. Let us get you out of pain and moving again.
